Social Misfits

Social Misfits is a drum and bass duo comprising acclaimed producers Blame and DJ Concrete. Combining decades of experience, the pair have brought their unique expertise to create a fresh and dynamic project, reflecting their deep roots in the genre. Blame, known for his contributions to iconic labels like Moving Shadow and Good Looking Records, is celebrated for shaping the atmospheric drum and bass subgenre. DJ Concrete, a stalwart of the Warning collective, has been a key figure in the UK rave scene.

The duo launched their Social Misfits project in 2018 with their debut track, Change The Game, released on V Recordings. This track quickly garnered support from major drum and bass heavyweights, including Andy C, Bryan Gee, and Friction. The release highlighted their ability to craft tracks that seamlessly blend atmospheric depth with dancefloor energy, capturing the attention of both fans and critics.

Blame and DJ Concrete bring their individual legacies into their collaborative efforts. Blame's work, particularly through his label 720 Degrees, has been pivotal in introducing innovative sounds to the genre, while DJ Concrete’s involvement with Warning has contributed to the success of some of the UK’s most renowned drum and bass events.
