Something Something: Drum and Bass Biography, Releases and Upcoming Events

Steffi Schulz, known professionally as Something Something, is a German drum and bass DJ and producer from Schöneck. Despite hailing from a town with no drum and bass scene, she developed a passion for the genre through years of raving at events like Fabric and Let It Roll. Inspired by witnessing Andy C's set at XOYO, she began DJing and producing in early 2019.

Her career gained momentum after winning a DJ competition at Hospitality on the Beach in Croatia, where she outperformed nearly 40 other DJs, earning a set on one of the festival's main stages. This achievement led to performances in the USA, Prague, Spain, and the UK, including a set at New York's longest-running drum and bass night, Konkrete Jungle.

In 2020, Something Something released her debut single, Another Reason, on Elevate Records, showcasing her production skills. She followed this with collaborations, including All My Life with Kleu, further establishing her presence in the scene. Her energetic DJ sets and satirical drum and bass news broadcasts have garnered a growing fanbase.

Recognized for her contributions, she received a Best Newcomer nomination at the Drum&BassArena Awards in 2020. With a commitment to her craft and a series of releases on respected labels, Something Something continues to be a rising figure in the drum and bass community.
