Station Earth was a Belgian drum and bass duo comprising producer Matthias De Herdt and DJ Jelle De Maeyer. Emerging in 2013, they quickly gained recognition for their dynamic fusion of liquid elements with the high-energy pace of drum and bass, establishing a distinctive presence in the European electronic music scene.
Their debut track, Starcaller, released on Radar Records, garnered significant attention, peaking on the D&B charts of Studio Brussels. This success led to performances at major events, including the legendary Star Wars NYE and Rampage, one of Belgium's largest club venues. Their momentum continued with a scheduled appearance at Tomorrowland 2014, further solidifying their rising status.
Station Earth's music received support from prominent figures in the drum and bass community, such as London Elektricity, Brookes Brothers, and Logistics. Their track Cold Green Eyes, featuring vocals by Roos Denayer, achieved substantial acclaim, amassing nearly one million views on YouTube and becoming a favourite within the genre's fanbase.
The duo's live performances were characterised by a seamless blend of studio precision and on-stage energy, with De Herdt focusing on production and De Maeyer delivering dynamic DJ sets. This synergy enabled them to captivate audiences across Europe, contributing to their reputation as a formidable act in the drum and bass circuit. Their collaboration concluded around 2015, with De Herdt continuing his musical journey under the alias Blue Marble.
