Kurt Gluck, professionally known as Submerged, is a DJ, bassist, and producer originating from Rosedale, Queens, New York. He is the founder of the avant-garde drum and bass and experimental music label Ohm Resistance and co-founder of Obliterati.
Submerged gained prominence through his collaborations with bassist and producer Bill Laswell, co-creating drum and bass-jazz fusion projects such as Method of Defiance and The Blood of Heroes.
His innovative approach to drum and bass is marked by the integration of free-form breakbeat structures and fusion with non-drum and bass musicians, including Pharoah Sanders and Buckethead.
As a performer, Submerged has played across North America, Europe, and Asia, including countries like Russia, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and the UK.
