The Untouchables

The Untouchables, a Belgian drum and bass duo comprising Kay and Nitrox, have been trailblazers in the scene since the early 2000s. Known for their deep, dark, and tribal dub-inspired sound, their music combines minimal elements, percussive half-step rhythms, and distorted, bass-heavy textures, earning them a distinctive place in the genre.

With a strong catalogue of releases on acclaimed labels such as Samurai Music, Rupture, Cylon, Renegade Hardware, and Alphacut, The Untouchables have consistently delivered cutting-edge productions. Their debut album, Mutations (2018), released on Samurai Music, showcased their signature sound and solidified their status as pioneers. This was followed by their sophomore LP, Grassroots, which featured collaborations with notable artists like Loxy, Mantra, Djinn, and Sam KDC.

Nitrox, a co-founder of the original Universal Project, brings a wealth of experience to the duo, having released music on iconic labels like Renegade Hardware and True Playaz. Kay complements this with her unique ability to craft immersive soundscapes, blending heavy basslines and intricate percussion influenced by old-school drum and bass.
