Totallywykd is the drum and bass alias of UK producer and DJ Stephen Butterworth, emerging from the underground scenes of North West England and South Wales. His sound pulls from rolling drum and bass, jungle, atmospheric techno, and bass music, balancing fast-paced rhythms with deeper melodic textures.
He first built momentum through independent online releases across YouTube, SoundCloud, and Bandcamp, steadily developing a catalogue that includes tracks such as Heart of a Lion, In Your Eyes, Resonance, Tripudim, and Quasym. Across those releases, the focus stays on movement and atmosphere rather than rigid genre boundaries, shifting between liquid, jungle, and heavier dancefloor styles naturally.
Butterworth is also the founder of Unchained Soul Records, an imprint centred around forward-facing drum and bass and breakbeat music. Alongside his own label activity, he has released material through Dystopian Collective, Transfrequency Recordings, and Top G Records.
Outside production, Totallywykd maintains radio residencies on Bedlam Frequency Radio and Conspiracy Radio, using both platforms to showcase new material, underground selections, and emerging artists from across the wider drum and bass spectrum.
