Deadline is a London-based drum and bass duo formed in 2016 by Pete and Ollie, who bonded over their shared admiration for artists like S.P.Y, Break, Marcus Intalex, Calibre, and SpectraSoul. Their journey began after meeting at the Void stage during Outlook Festival in 2014, and they’ve since carved out a distinctive space within the drum and bass scene.
Known for their eclectic selection and technical prowess, Deadline has delivered acclaimed mixes for platforms such as Fabric, Shogun Audio, Critical Sound, and Skankandbass. They’ve also performed at iconic venues like Printworks, Fabric, Ministry of Sound, XOYO, and E1, as well as international festivals including Mysteryland, Outlook, and Let It Roll.
Their music draws inspiration from a wide range of influences, including garage, jazz, and orchestral elements, resulting in a modern drum and bass sound that feels both innovative and deeply rooted in the genre's history. Tracks like Dominoes featuring Charlotte Haining and Buttons featuring Emily Makis have garnered widespread support from BBC Radio 1, George FM, and platforms such as UKF.
After a two-year hiatus from releasing music, Deadline made a triumphant return with singles on respected labels like Friction’s Elevate Records and Pilot Records. Recent tracks such as Freak Like Me and CHICA highlight their growth as producers and their commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary drum and bass.
