Fred V & Grafix, consisting of Frederick Vahrman (Fred V) and Joshua Jackson (Grafix), were a British drum and bass duo hailing from Exeter, Devon. Known for their melodic and emotive productions, the duo was signed to Hospital Records and became key figures in the liquid drum and bass scene.
Their debut album Recognise (2014) introduced their uplifting, vocal-led sound, with standout tracks like Forest Fires featuring Etherwood. They followed up with Oxygen (2016) and Cinematic Party Music (2017), further cementing their reputation for blending rich melodies with driving basslines.
The duo also earned acclaim for their remix work, reimagining tracks by artists such as Rudimental, Emeli Sandé, and Sub Focus. Their music became a staple in the sets of drum and bass DJs worldwide, and they performed at major festivals and events, including Glastonbury and Hospitality in the Park.
In 2018, Fred V & Grafix announced their split to pursue solo careers. Despite their departure as a duo, their influence on the liquid drum and bass genre remains significant, leaving behind a catalogue of celebrated releases and remixes.
