HRSPX, hailing from Szeged, Hungary, is making waves in the drum and bass scene with a deeply personal and intricately textured sound. His journey into music began at just six years old with a CASIO synthesiser, followed by formal piano training at eight. However, it was discovering Spor’s Hydra at the age of 12 that ignited his passion for drum and bass, setting him on a path of sonic exploration that continues to define his artistry.
Growing up in a city with limited access to a wider bass music culture, HRSPX found inspiration in artists such as Receptor, DJ Hidden, Evol Intent, and Landscapers. These influences provided a mental escape, shaping his early production experiments. Beginning with Virtual DJ and later transitioning to FL Studio, he immersed himself in sound design, driven by a need to express the emotions and atmospheres that surrounded him. His studies in Contemporary Music & Media Arts at the University of Pécs expanded his musical horizons, leading him to explore Siberian folk music, folk-ethno-trap, and collaborations with Hungarian rapper Dé:Nash. However, his return to drum and bass proved inevitable, as the genre’s energy and complexity remained his true passion.
HRSPX first gained recognition with a release on Bass Rabbit Recordings in 2021, followed by two more in the following years. His breakthrough came in 2024 when he joined Evolution Chamber’s Transmissions series with Gynura, a track that showcased his signature fusion of cinematic euphoria and heavyweight bass design. In 2025, Antioch further solidified his reputation, paving the way for his official debut single on the label. The Rumbling combines soaring soundscapes with razor-sharp bass stabs, while Where It All Began delivers a relentless barrage of intricate rhythms and high-energy transitions—both tracks highlighting his technical precision and bold creative vision.
With his arrival on Evolution Chamber, HRSPX is poised to become a formidable force in the drum and bass landscape. His ability to blend emotive atmospheres with cutting-edge production techniques sets him apart as an artist pushing the boundaries of the genre. As his sound continues to evolve, HRSPX is undoubtedly one to watch in the years to come.
