Hybris, the moniker of American-born producer Evan Vischi, has established himself as a formidable force in the drum and bass scene. Initially emerging in Washington D.C. under the alias Robot Death Squad, Vischi later relocated to Prague, Czech Republic, where he adopted the Hybris identity and honed a distinctive sound that seamlessly blends intricate rhythms with innovative sound design.
In 2010, Hybris made a significant impact with his debut single, The Cleaner / Raindance, released on Critical: Modulations. This achievement was followed by a collaboration with the renowned Dutch trio Noisia, resulting in the track Crystalline and the subsequent Hybris EP on Noisia's Invisible Recordings in 2011. These releases showcased his technical prowess and solidified his reputation within the drum and bass community.
Hybris's debut album, Emergence, released in 2014 on Invisible Recordings, further demonstrated his ability to push sonic boundaries.
