Karl Miller

Karl Miller is a UK-based producer and composer whose work bridges early 90s jungle with modern ambient and drum and bass. First emerging under the alias The Hypnotrance Formula, his music blends breakbeats, deep atmospheres and psychedelic textures, rooted in years of experimentation and a background in live electronic performance.
In recent years, Miller has revisited early unreleased material, working with Black Barrel to transform archived jungle sketches into new forms. Their collaborative tracks, including Deep Excavation and Rolling Memories, showcase a fusion of old and new influences – rich in space, texture and sub-heavy rhythm.
Outside of club releases, Karl also writes for TV and media, maintaining a focus on evocative sound design and hypnotic structure. Whether solo or in collaboration, his output reflects a deep understanding of groove, space and mood.
