Maxim Anokhin, professionally known as Limewax, is a Ukrainian drum and bass producer and DJ renowned for his intense and aggressive sound. Born in 1988 in Kamianets-Podilskyi, Ukraine, he relocated to the Netherlands in 1999, where he began composing music during his teenage years.

In 2005, at the age of seventeen, Limewax released his debut EP, Changing Crisis, on Tech Itch Recordings. This early work showcased his affinity for the harsher subgenres of drum and bass, including hardstep and darkstep, and established him as a formidable presence in the electronic music scene.

Throughout his career, Limewax has collaborated with notable artists such as The Panacea, Current Value, and Dylan. His distinctive productions, characterised by frenetic breaks and acid textures, have been featured on prominent labels like Freak Recordings, Tech Itch, PRSPCT, and Position Chrome. Additionally, he founded his own imprint, L/B Recordings, further contributing to the genre's evolution.
