Melinki, born Sonny Symes on 22 August 1986 in Hastings, United Kingdom, is a distinguished DJ, producer, and label owner within the drum and bass scene. From his early teens, he drew inspiration from artists like Bryan Gee, Goldie, and DJ Marky, which fuelled his dedication to the genre. His commitment is evident through his establishment of Four Corners Music, a label renowned for showcasing a diverse spectrum of drum and bass.
Throughout his career, Melinki has achieved significant milestones. He has won DJ competitions for Hospitality, Dillinja's Valve Recordings, and Drum and Bass Arena, and has performed live on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. His production skills have garnered attention from notable figures such as Noisia, Friction, Kasra, Kyrist, and Philth. His discography includes releases on esteemed labels like Fokuz Recordings, Dispatch, Technique, and his own imprint, Four Corners Music.
In 2024, Melinki released his debut album, A Lifetime Obsession, on Four Corners Music.
