Misanthrop, born Michael Bräuninger, is a renowned drum and bass producer and DJ from Hamburg, Germany. He became captivated by the dark, intense sounds of drum and bass in the early 1990s, which inspired him to begin producing his own tracks under the moniker Misanthrop. In 2008, Misanthrop co-founded the record label Neosignal alongside fellow German producer Phace.
