Revaux is a drum and bass duo consisting of brothers Joe and Ru Brooks from Leeds, UK. Since their debut in 2016, they have been recognised for their hyper-clean sound design, powerful drum patterns, and innovative use of synths, establishing themselves as prominent figures in the rolling sounds of drum and bass.
In 2018, Revaux was highlighted as one of UKF's official "Ones To Watch," a testament to their rising influence within the genre. Their versatility is evident in their diverse releases across esteemed labels such as Shogun Audio, Lifestyle Recordings, Vandal Records, and Technique Recordings. Tracks like Colours featuring Charli Brix and the Hypnosis EP have been well-received, showcasing their ability to blend deep, funk-driven rollers with techy and gritty elements.
After a brief production hiatus beginning in 2019, Revaux made a notable return in 2022 with the release of the Mamba EP on Kyrist's Kynetic Sound label. This four-track EP, including collaborations like Shinto with Kyrist, exemplifies their articulate and finely crafted drum and bass style, while also exploring other genres, as seen in the dubstep-influenced track Non-Bio.
Beyond their production work, Joe and Ru Brooks lead the Leeds-based collective Vision State and Bristol’s Rotations project, positioning themselves as curators of the modern drum and bass scene. Their energetic DJ sets have graced prestigious nightclubs and festivals across the UK and Europe, further solidifying their reputation as dynamic performers within the electronic music landscape.
