Chris Cruickshank, known professionally as Sicknote, is a British drum and bass DJ and producer whose dynamic presence has significantly influenced the genre. Originating from the UK, Sicknote's early exposure to music was shaped by his parents' diverse collection, featuring artists like Prince, Madonna, and Stevie Wonder. This eclectic foundation fostered a deep appreciation for various musical styles, eventually leading him to the energetic world of drum and bass.
Sicknote's career gained momentum when he became the DJ for Shabba D's Higher Level crew, a pivotal role that enhanced his prominence within the scene. Seeking greater artistic autonomy, he relocated to Canada, where he co-founded Toxic Inc Audio with Chris Harris, also known as Erbalist.
