Skrimor: Drum and Bass Biography, Releases and Upcoming Events

Dzmitry Vilchytski, professionally known as Skrimor, is a drum and bass producer currently based in Warsaw, Poland. His musical journey began in 2005 as a guitarist in a local nu-metal band. In 2007, a visit to Vilnius, Lithuania, introduced him to the bass music scene, sparking a passion for genres like dubstep and drum and bass.

After completing his studies in 2012, Skrimor relocated to Poland to focus on electronic music production. Drawing inspiration from influential labels such as Eatbrain, Blackout, and Neosignal, he developed a signature style characterised by hard-hitting basslines and intricate sound design, earning him recognition within the drum and bass community.

In early 2023, Skrimor released the GAS EP, a project that resonated widely among fans and critics. He continued to solidify his reputation with a powerful EP on Neuropunk Records, featuring the standout track Kickback, further establishing himself as a leading figure in the scene.

Skrimor's versatility was showcased in November 2024 with the release of Purple Toe, marking Evolution Chamber’s 50th release. This track blends infectious dancefloor energy with rolling basslines and sharp, punchy drums. With his innovative approach and dedication to pushing boundaries, Skrimor remains a dynamic force in the evolution of the drum and bass genre.
